A new CD is available featuring a sing-along with the Upper Voice Choir, together with organist Pieter Heykoop. It is recorded in the Picture Butte NRC Church.
The Upper Voice Choir is a concept borrowed from Bovenstem singing in the Netherlands. It is a higher melody, similar to a descant, somewhat parallel to and sung simultaneously with the regular psalm. Members of a congregation get together to practice the upper voice and then sing it during church services or sing-alongs. This recording has used (with permission) the Genemuiden Bovenstem combining the traditional Dutch Koraal tune with words from the Psalter.
All proceeds are for charitable causes in Israel.
