Mark Atlas (1987):
The thing that I am looking forward most is to have a place that is our own. Since 1975 we have been renting different facilities. But now finally we have place that is ours that no one can take it from us, or we will need to move out. Also I want our facility to be not for our use but the use of the wider body of Christ in the land. I want this to be a great blessing to others. And also for those that are outside the body of Christ. I work in the factory not far from the building, and yesterday my boss told me that our church building looks interesting and raise one curiosity. So I hope one day he will come and visit us.
Tanya Khodus:
My hope is that we can use the place all the time, 24 hours and seven days a week. There is so much need that our new facilities can meet particularly for our children, youth, to have summer camps, and seminars, in addition to our weekly congregational activities and also others. Three weeks ago we took our youth on a two day trip with another youth group from a congregation in Jerusalem. We stayed overnight at one of the congregations. Our facility can be a great blessing for others.
Janna Olehnovich:
I live not far from the new congregational building in Benei Aiysh. Many in town know that this is church that we are building and I am often asked about the situation. At times I recall the words of David to Natan in II Samuel 7 that said “I dwell in house of cedar but the ark of God dwells in tent.” I pray regularly that the day will come that the building will become truly the house of God and that we can worship him there and also that it will a testimony of the greatness and the majesty of God. I feel bad that we have not been able to finish it yet, and many non-believers question about that.
Christina Maximenko:
Due to the fact that we have to leave soon after the service, I am looking forward that once we will move to the new building, we will be able to stay after the service for fellowship and coffee. The new building will enable us once in a while to invite others from other congregations to worship with us. Our new place will enable us to have different age group activities without interfering with one another. When I was teaching the Sabbath school, I could always hear the other teachers and children in my class. Church is like a family, and just as any family needs it own place, so do we as a church.
Vitaly Polichuk:
I hope that with our new facilities we will be able to serve the larger body of Christ and not just ourselves. Once the building is ready we can enable other congregations in the whole area of the south, to use it for various activities including seminars, wedding receptions, Bar Mitzvah and other important activities for the believers in the country. We hope and plan to start a Christian school as well as Christian Kinder Garden in the facility. And finally I like to see that in our church services finally the children will be able to sit with their parents. At the moment because of the limited sitting many children stand or sit in rooms, to enable the adults to sit on the chairs in the hall.
